Wedding Album Day 3- The Bride and The Groom

Hey hey it’s Friday and I am on a roll. Believe it or not I have yet another page from the Wedding album COMPLETE. I have to say, I am really proud of myself for getting so much done, so quickly. If you are new to my blog be sure to check out the previous posts in this wedding album series. First and foremost the disclaimer, this album is HEAVILY inspired by a series of layouts that I saw on YouTube awhile back by an extremely talented scrapbooker named Faith Abigail. I fell in love with her work and wanted to adapt her layouts to fit with my needs and my supplies. I kept some of the same elements but changed it up where needed.
Today is all about pages 4 and 5 of the album and they are all about the BRIDE and GROOM as they get ready for that life changing walk down the aisle. This double page layout provides a lot of places for photos- there is room for two 4 x 6 photos and six 3 x 3 photos. Let’s talk about the left side of the layout first which is all about the Bride. Aside from the spaces for photos there are several bridal themed die cuts that help paint a picture of what photos will be placed on these pages. There is a high heel with a heart (that can easily be customized to the wedding colors), a bouquet that stand out with several layers of dimension (which is also customizable), a wedding veil that is covered in rhinestones and finally a beautiful wedding dress in the center that is embossed for added texture and dimension with rhinestones added to the base of the dress and a colored ribbon added around the waist (which is once again customizable.)

For the Grooms sided of the layout I have placed a man’s dress shoe with a black cording as the laces for a more realistic look, a tall top hat with a customizable band in the wedding colors and lastly a black tuxedo with a bowtie that fits with the colors.

Wedding Album Day 2- Our Wedding

I am back today to share another page in the Wedding album that I am making for a family friend. Before we get started here is my brief disclaimer: this album is HEAVILY inspired by a series of layouts that I saw on YouTube awhile back by an extremely talented scrapbooker named Faith Abigail. I fell in love with her work and wanted to adapt her layouts to fit with my needs and my supplies. I kept some of the same elements but changed it up where needed.

Ok now that the boring stuff is out of the way let’s get back to the album. This week I am sharing pages 2 and 3 with you. They are titled Our Wedding and feature a city scape outline in the background with a church and a white limo in the foreground. Four different photo mats are located at the bottom ready to hold four 4 x 5 inch photos. These pages would be great for photos of the church or of the bride and groom on the way to the church to get ready or so many other great pictures.

Pamper Yourself Mom

Hey guys, I don’t have long to post today but I wanted to pop online and share the card that I made for my mom’s birthday (which was Wednesday). She got a big kick out of it!

Lady Bug Birthday

In honor of my amazing mom’s birthday tomorrow I thought that I would share a birthday card with you all that I created last year for another family members birthday. I WILL NOT be sharing the card that I plan to give to my mom until Friday because my mom frequently looks at my blog and I want it to be as big of a surprise for her as I can just in case.
This card was a recreation of a similar card that I found on Pinterest. As I have mentioned numerous times I browse Pinterest daily looking for interesting ideas and inspiration. I saw this card and knew that I just had to recreate it for my stock of birthday cards. I had a hard time deciding if this card should be made as a portrait card or as a landscape one, ultimately I decided why not just make both.

For the inside of both of these cards I decided to go with a religious birthday message and a tiny little lady bug in the corner to bring a piece of the outside of the card in.

Wedding Album Day 1- Title Page

Hey guys, I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I have been asked to make a Wedding Scrapbook for a family friend. I am super excited so today I sat down and made the first page. First a brief disclaimer just in case one is needed, this album is HEAVILY inspired by a series of layouts that I saw on YouTube awhile back by an extremely talented scrapbooker named Faith Abigail. I fell in love with her work and wanted to adapt her layouts to fit with my needs and my supplies. I kept some of the same elements but changed it up where needed.

This page was designed for a 4 x 6 photo to be placed in the center of the page and features a large die cut frame which fills the background and creates a focal point for the photo. A large filigree heart adorns the top as a symbol of love and a lined journal card is included below the photo for the date/time/location of the wedding to be recorded as a title for the album and pages to follow.

Butterfly Square Embossed

Hey guys. Today’s card is one that I made a while back and just didn’t get around to blogging. I love butterflies!! I have a TON of butterfly related craft items so I thought that I would bring together 2 of the items (an embossing folder and a stamp) to create this monochromatic style card. I finished off the inside with a note of encouragement and another small butterfly.

Just a Musical Note of Thanks

Happy Friday!! The card for today is going to be really simple. I bought a musical note embossing folder a while back and recently realized that I have never used it. The sentiment fits perfectly with the music notes and provides a nice pun. I left the inside of the card blank, as I do with most of my thank you cards, so that there is plenty of room to write a message to the recipient.

Turtle Bird Thank You

A man who volunteers at the church that my mom works at recently gave her a beautiful hand written poster of a scripture verse. He knew that the past year had been hard on her and our family so he wanted to give her something just to show that he cared and that she is appreciated. I think that the poster is BEAUTIFUL and that he did a wonderful job!!

My mom came to me and asked me if I had a card that she could give him to say thank you for the beautiful poster. I looked through my stock of Thank You cards and realized that while I do have quite a few Thank You cards in stock, they were all pretty feminine in nature (I tend to use a lot of flowers when I make a Thank You card for some reason) so I told her that I would be happy to make one for her to give him. Now the end result could read feminine to some as it still features a floral print, but I thought that it would still be fitting since the poster that he created features similar colors and floral patterns.

I am so EXCITED!

As you can probably tell by the title of this post, I am excited! Why am I excited you ask? Because a family friend has asked me to make a wedding album for them to give to one of their family members who is getting married this coming June, and the kicker....they are going to PAY ME to do it, AND pass out my business cards so that I will hopefully be getting more paying customers!! For the first time in a long time I am actually going to be paid to create and it is a total dream come true. I am so blessed to have family and friends who love and support me and that are constantly telling me how talented I am, even when my confidence struggles to believe it.

The album that I will be making is a replica of one that I have made before, and is the reason that I was commissioned to make an album in the first place. Although I have made it a couple of times I have yet to post it here on my blog, so this gives me a great reason. It may take a couple of weeks before pictures and info about the album start to appear here on my blog because I am still waiting on a few pieces of information before I start. So, check back soon!
